FAQs

1) What types of roof cleaning do you offer?

We offer two safe options: roof moss removal (scrape) + biocide treatment, and low-pressure roof cleaning + biocide treatment. We’ll recommend the best method after seeing a few photos.

2) Is it worth having my roof cleaned?

Yes, in most cases it’s absolutely worth having your roof cleaned, especially if you’ve got moss, algae or lichen building up.

3) Which option gives the cleanest visual finish?

If you’ve got staining from algae/lichen and want the roof to look as clean as possible, low-pressure cleaning + biocide is usually the better choice for instant results.

4) Do you use high-pressure washing on roofs?

No. We don’t use high-pressure washing on roof tiles. We use professional equipment that we can control the amount of power from the pressure washer. This gives us the chance to provide the perfect amount of power to clean the surface without damaging the tiles.

5) Is biocide treatment included?

Yes — our roof cleaning options include biocide treatment to help slow regrowth and keep results looking better for longer. The biocide will also clean the tiles over a period of time after they have been scraped.

6) How long does roof cleaning take?

Most jobs are completed in one day, but larger roofs, heavier moss, or awkward access can take longer. We’ll confirm after photos or an inspection.

7) How much does roof cleaning cost?

We price using fixed ranges because every roof is different (size, access, moss level, protection needed). A typical 1–2 bed semi/attached roof is often £595–£650. We’ll confirm your exact price band from photos.

8) What do you need from me to give a quote?

Just send 2–3 photos, your address, and any quick access notes (extensions, conservatory, shared drive, parking). Alternatively we can arrange to come around and see the property.

9) Will you make a mess?

We take steps to protect surrounding areas and we always bag/remove debris and leave the site tidy. We also clear moss from the gutters and clean all the windows. We even knock on the neighbours in case any debris has gone over to clean and keep everybody happy!

10) Do you need access to water or electricity?

Sometimes, depending on the method and setup. We’ll let you know when we book you in.

11) Can you clean fascias and soffits at the same time?

Yes — many customers add fascias & soffits cleaning to finish the job off properly. We can price this as an upgrade.

12) Are you insured?

Yes, we’re fully insured.

13) Do you offer a guarantee?

Results can vary due to weather and natural regrowth, but biocide treatment helps slow regrowth. We’ll set clear expectations based on your roof condition.

14) When can you fit me in?

It depends on the week, but we’ll give you the next available dates when we quote.
